We’re looking for a motivated and imaginative Social Media Intern to join our growing team. If you live and breathe social trends, love engaging online communities, and have a flair for creative content, we want to hear from you.

As a Social Media Intern, you’ll support the Electric Egg team in planning, creating, and managing content across various social media platforms. You’ll gain hands-on experience in digital marketing, assist in brainstorming campaign ideas, and learn how to grow and engage communities for real brands.

Experience with TikTok, Reddit and/or YouTube Shorts is advantageous, as we’re expanding into new channels to experiment with creative, community-led campaigns.

Some of the Key Responsibilities include:

• Assist with the creation, scheduling, and publishing of social media content across multiple platforms.
• Help brainstorm and develop creative ideas for campaigns and community engagement.
• Conduct social trend research to identify new opportunities for brand growth.
• Support the team in preparing content calendars and campaign reports.
• Collaborate with designers, copywriters, and account managers to deliver cohesive brand messaging.
• Based in Stellenbosch or surrounding areas (remote work with monthly in-person meetups).
• Must have a reliable vehicle and be willing to meet with clients for on-site content shoots.

Skills Background:

• Must be presentable and professional when representing the agency and meeting clients.
• Strong interest in social media, content creation, and digital marketing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn – TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Reddit experience is a plus).
• Creative thinker with an eye for trends and detail.
• Familiarity with Meta Business Suite is beneficial.
