We’re looking for a motivated, imaginative Junior Social Media & Content Creator to join our growing team. If you’re plugged into social trends, love engaging online communities, and have a sharp eye for creative content, we’d love to hear from you.

Role Overview

As a Junior Social Media & Content Creator, you will play an active role in planning, creating, and managing social media content for a range of brands. You will work closely with the Electric Egg team to bring content strategies to life, contribute creative ideas, and help grow and engage online communities across multiple platforms.

Experience with TikTok, Reddit and/or YouTube Shorts is advantageous, as we are expanding into new channels to experiment with creative, community-led campaigns.

Some of the Key Responsibilities include:

• Create, schedule, and publish engaging social media content across multiple platforms.
• Plan and produce original content, including short-form video, photography, and behind-the-scenes content.
• Travel to client locations to capture content for marketing purposes.
• Contribute to the planning and execution of social media strategies and campaigns.
• Research social trends, platform updates, and content opportunities to drive brand growth.
• Assist with the development and management of content calendars.
• Monitor engagement and support basic reporting on content and campaign performance.
• Collaborate with designers, copywriters, and account managers to ensure cohesive brand messaging.

Requirements:

• Based in Stellenbosch or surrounding areas (remote work with monthly in-person meetups).
• Must have a reliable vehicle and be willing to meet with clients for on-site content shoots.
• Must be presentable and professional when representing the agency and meeting clients.
• Strong interest in social media, content creation, and digital marketing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic understanding of major social media platforms (such as Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn), with experience using TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Reddit considered a plus.
• Creative thinker with an eye for trends and detail.
• Familiarity with Meta Business Suite is beneficial.
